At Sound Point Acupuncture, we believe that true healing happens when the body, mind, and nervous system are given the space and support to return to balance. Rooted in the time-tested principles of East Asian medicine, our approach blends traditional wisdom with a modern understanding of health, creating personalized treatments that meet you exactly where you are. Whether you are navigating chronic symptoms, recovering from a recent imbalance, or simply seeking a deeper sense of well-being, our goal is to help you feel more at home in your body.

Acupuncture is more than just symptom relief—it is a holistic system of medicine that views the body as an interconnected whole. When one system is out of balance, it often affects others. That’s why we take the time to listen carefully to your health history, your current concerns, and ask about the subtle patterns that may be contributing to how you feel. Each treatment is tailored specifically to you, addressing both the root cause and the presenting symptoms so that healing can be both effective and lasting.

One of our primary areas of focus is supporting individuals experiencing anxiety and stress-related conditions. In today’s fast-paced world, many people live in a near-constant state of tension, which can impact sleep, digestion, mood, and overall vitality. Acupuncture works by calming the nervous system, helping shift the body out of “fight or flight” and into a state of rest and repair. Many patients notice improved sleep, a greater sense of emotional stability, and a renewed ability to cope with daily life after just a few sessions.

Digestive health is another cornerstone of our practice. Conditions such as bloating, IBS, acid reflux, and irregular bowel movements are often signs of deeper imbalances within the body. Through acupuncture and supportive lifestyle guidance, we work to regulate digestive function, reduce inflammation, and restore harmony to the gut. Because digestion is so central to overall health, improvements in this area often lead to increased energy, better immunity, and a stronger sense of well-being.

Pain management is one of the most well-known applications of acupuncture, and for good reason. Whether you are dealing with chronic back pain, migraines, joint issues, or injury-related discomfort, acupuncture can help reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and encourage the body’s natural healing processes. Our approach emphasizes not only relieving pain but also addressing the underlying patterns that contribute to it, helping prevent recurrence and supporting long-term mobility and comfort.

We are especially passionate about supporting women’s health at every stage of life. From menstrual health and hormonal balance to fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery, acupuncture offers gentle yet powerful support. During pregnancy, treatments can help manage common concerns such as nausea, fatigue, and pain, while also promoting overall wellness for both parent and baby. In the postpartum period, care is focused on recovery, emotional support, and restoring energy—an often overlooked but essential part of long-term health.

We strive to create a space that feels calm, welcoming, and restorative from the moment you walk in. Healing is not just about the treatments themselves, but also about feeling seen, heard, and supported. We take pride in building genuine relationships with our patients, offering continuity of care and thoughtful guidance throughout your health journey.

Our philosophy is simple: the body has an innate ability to heal when given the right conditions. Acupuncture helps create those conditions—by improving circulation, regulating the nervous system, and restoring balance within the body’s systems. Over time, this can lead to meaningful, sustainable changes in how you feel each day.

Whether you are seeking relief from a specific condition or looking to invest in your long-term health, Sound Point Acupuncture is here to support you. We invite you to experience a different approach to care—one that is attentive, personalized, and grounded in both tradition and compassion. Your health is a journey, and we are honored to be part of it.

Why Sound Point?

Our name is not only a nod to this magical place we call home, the Puget Sound, it also gives reference to the aspects of acupuncture and traditional medicine that encompass vibrational healing. In acupuncture theory, points are often described as resonance centers or apertures where the body’s internal energy (Qi) interacts with the external environment.

Acupuncture points are located in areas of high electrical conductivity and low resistance, acting like physical transducers. Just as a radio captures specific frequencies, these points serve as portals that receive and transmit vibrational information through the Meridian System.

  • Resonance: Every meridian corresponds to a specific element and frequency. When you apply sound tools—like tuning forks—directly to an acupuncture point, the vibration travels through the connective tissue (fascia) much faster than it does through air or muscle.

  • Harmonization: The Meridian system acts as a biological "string instrument." Applying vibration to a "point" helps retune a meridian that has fallen out of harmony, clearing blockages and restoring the body’s natural rhythm.

  • The Fluid Connection: Since the body is mostly water, it is an ideal medium for sound. A "Sound Point" becomes the entry site for a wave that ripples through the entire system, helping to relieve and shift the nervous system from sympathetic to parasympathetic, then aiding the mind to achieve a theta state.

By naming our practice Sound Point, we are highlighting that acupuncture isn't just about needles; it’s about restoring the vibrational integrity of the person, using the points at the precise locations where that healing resonance begins.
